    Angel of Hope – Grand Opening & Candlelight Ceremony

    There were several hundred people present for the Grand Opening and Candlelight Ceremony on December 6th, 2008. This will also be a candlelight memorial service for parents who have lost a child, of any age, for any reason.     Angel of Hope Candlelight Ceremony

    There were over one hundred people that braved the heavy rain and snow on December 5th, 2009. The candlelight ceremony was held in the Veterans Memorial building next to the Angel of Hope. After the ceremony people walked to the Angel of Hope Statue to leave white carnations. Read More

    Angel of Hope Candlelight Ceremony

    A candlelight healing ceremony will be held at the base of the Angel monument each year in December. After a few remarks, a moment of silence, the attendees are invited to leave a white flower at the base of the angel statue. The public is welcome. Read More

    Hope in its Wings

    With Hope in its Wings, this monument offers a place of love, healing and rememberence for all those who have lost a child.

    This angel was inspired by the book “The Christmas Box” where a woman mourns the loss of her child at the base of the angel statue. The original statue was commissioned by the author Richard Paul Evans in response to reports that grieving parents were seeking out the angel as a place to grieve and heal. This simple, non-religious but spiritual story has brought hope to thousands of parents who have endured the death of a child. Read More
