Fishing Fundraiser

Sailed July 28, 2008 from Captree State Park
on the charter boat Fishtale

The boat was full with 60 people for a fun fishing fundraiser. We had perfect weather for a comfortable evening on the boat. The boat, Fishtale left from Captree State Park,www.Fishtale.com. The Captain Chris Altbacker was a great host and he kept everyone busy catching fish all night . This was our 2nd annual fishing fundraiser which would not be possible without the kind offer by Captain Chris and his wife Liz to use their charter boat to help raise money. Chris and Liz have a medically frail child in one of our programs.

We left the dock at 4pm and went into the bay to find our first fishing spot.. As the Captain settle into the first spot to fish the poles were ready to go. The lines went down and fish were caught right away. It is great to see the excitement of people catching fish. The children get so excited it is priceless. We caught the tide change at a perfect time. Catching fish right away gave us a great start to our evening. When people were not fishing they were sitting on the upper deck enjoying the view or enjoying the wide selection of gourmet sandwich platters we had for everyone. This was a perfect meal for the busy evening of catching fish.

We had a beautiful sunset to end our evening as Fishtale cruised back to the dock.
