William Iaia (left) and Jay D'Agostino (right) finished a 1000 mile bike ride from Florida to Centereach Long Island on July 28th. This charity bike ride was for Angela's House and to honor all children with special health care needs that are medically frail, technology dependent, chronically ill or living with a life threatening illness.
On the last day, Jay and William were met by six squad cars from the New York City Police Department who escorted them from the George Washington Bridge, through Manhattan, into Queens and to the Nassau County Line.
They were then met by the Nassau County Police who escorted them to the Suffolk County Line. The Suffolk County Police took them to Jack McCarthy's Pub, where tons of adoring fans cheered their arrival. The Centereach and Nesconset Fire Department were fantastic as they blocked the streets to have two fire engines extend the ladders and meet in the middle of the street to unfurl a beautiful huge flag that waved over Jericho Turnpike.
