• Fishing Fundraiser on Fishtale Sailing from Captree State Park

The 2010 Angela’s House Fishing fundraiser was a huge success. We had a perfect evening to be out on a boat. We started in the late afternoon from Captree boat basin as each quest joined the boat. Everyone was all set to go as they were given a pole, tackle and bait.

The boat “Fishtale” with Captain Chris was ready to cruise out into the bay. We had a little over 50 people join us for this fun trip. Everyone was eager and ready to fish. This was good because once we set anchor the tide had just changed and the fish were jumping on our hooks. It was amazing to watch one person after another catching fish. The deck mates never stopped all night as Captain Chris found one good spot after another. The boat was full of excitement as you heard people say, I have one, I have another one and calling for the Mate to remove the fish from the hook.

We had a light dinner including gourmet sandwiches and salads that gave people a break from the nonstop excitement of catching fish. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunset that created a great back drop for our amazing evening. Our guest took in the beauty as we cruised back to the dock. The captain and deck mates discussed that we caught over 800 fish. This was one of the best nights of fishing they saw this year. Captain Chris and his staff did a great job finding great places to fish and keeping our quest happy. It was an amazing night of fishing and fun.
