The Angela’s House Gala was on March 26, 2009.
The evening was filled with special moments including the Slide show of the construction of the Angel of Hopeit was a great moment when the honorees Pat Cassetta and Angelo Ciotta were presented with a plague thanking them for helping to bring the Angel to long Island. There were great thanks to the members of local 66 and 138. These hard working men went out of there way to make the Angel of Hope a special place for parents to visit that have lost a child.

Spring Gala
Our 2009 Angela’s House Gala held on March 26 at the Watermill in Smithtown was a huge success. There were over 200 people who attended this wonderful evening. It was heartwarming to see the tremendous support we received, especially in such a challenged economy. Our guests were impressed with the Watermill’s elegant rooms that they setup for us. The first room our quest went into was for our cocktail hour and Chinese auction. The second room was the Vanderbilt Ball Room which was for our elegant dinner and awards. Read More

On March 24th Bob Policastro from Angela’s House visited
Telecare TV to on the show “Good News” an interview based program.
The interview was with Msgr Jim Vlaun. The show features some of the positive stories going on in our faith community. We discussed the work we do with families of medically fragile children and the new “Angel of Hope” statue.Telecare is the catholic TV station of the Diocese of Rockville Centre

In an instant, joy turns to angst as the doctor informs you your child was born with an illness or a disability. You lose touch with friends, become engulfed in hospital treatments and your life is nothing you ever imagined it would be. You’re left with no way of caring for the child you love more than anything in world, both monetarily and physically, because the only treatment centers are out of state. This scenario prompted the founding of Angela’s House, dedicated to improve the quality of life for families and children with a severe disability or medical condition.

West Islip High School helps Angela’s House
The National English Honor Society had a Talent show on March 12 to benefit Angela’s House.
The students , staff and teachers performed and the money raised was donated to Angela’s House. -
